Silhouette photography is an outline of an object appearing dark against the bright background. Silhouette is an art photographer may want to perfect.
Silhouette photography is shooting an object against the light source. Its a result of steady hand, gear equipped with a sturdy tripod; something like Manfrotto and most important a patience.
Use of manual mode is highly recommended to capture objects in Silhouette. Focus on the lighter background in the frame and set the shutter speed accordingly, preferably high shutter speed and bring back the focus on the main object and take the snap, so as to capture the main object with fewer or nil details.
Best time to shoot silhouette photography is dawn and dusk. The finest time to shoot a silhouette is when the sun is low in the sky – either when it is rising or setting. Sunsets are a favourite among photographers who regularly create spectacular silhouettes, but you can also shoot a decent silhouette against a blue sky. You can also have any object with Sun in a background and click another beautiful silhouette.
