iPHONE PHOTOS

DSLR is always preferred over any other camera for the wonders you create in photography and photographers would stand by the belief. Apart from taking selfies, I never used phone for any other serious photography occasion even including portraits. I came to know about few enhancements in iPhone camera and post photograph processing option and just wanted to feel how the results would be and to my surprise, those look good if not great.

Below are the series of pics I have taken with iPhone indoor as well as outdoor. An enhancements like creating digital bokeh, makes photo looks similar to one taken through a prime lens. However there is no match for the DSLR since it’s meant to be for taking real great photos.

iPhone 14 camera has a features of adjusting the f stop till 1.4 which creates a good digital bokeh. And it blurred the background which somewhat satisfies the results you get. With an experience in DSLR photography, I started clicking photos through iPhone and here are few:

OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY WITH iPHONE

On a small screen, iPhone photos looks quite good. Sometimes, carrying DSLR all the day long, you feel like giving it some rest. And just then you realise, there are more to click and your iPhone becomes handy. It’s on the go.

THE PICTURESQUE SCENERIES WITH iPHONE

Though iPhone camera can’t be a substitute for the DSLR, there are many occasions, you can get somewhat good photos with your iPhone. You can select the zoom range and even navigate through other camera options and discover what lies in you. Perhaps the first baby step towards photography.

THE PANORAMIC CAPTURES WITH iPHONE

iPhone has an option of selecting zoom range 0.5x and it produces a fisheye effect with 180 degree field of view and creates a panoramic or hemispherical images. I used this options at places I traveled recently and here are few.

THE DAWN & DUSK WITH iPHONE

YET YOU CAN’T MIMIC THE BOSS…

Yet, pro photography is meant to be only with DSLR and the simple reason being, everything it captures is real and not virtual. Colours can be clearly distinguished with DSLR and those are quite smooth. This is somewhat achieved with iPhone, only with post processing.

  1. If I was told that these images are shot by a higher end DSLR, I would have believed it. To my surprise it is shot by IPhone . World class.
