The word Himachal is a combination of two Sanskrit words; Hima (Snow) & Anchal (Lap) and Himachal is literally in the lap of Himalaya.
Himachal Pradesh is in Himalaya’s and is home to scenic mountain towns and resorts such as Manali, Dalhousie, Kullu and many more. The region is also well known for its trekking, climbing and skiing areas.
