Duomo Milan
Milan’s Duomo is the most impressive structure in Milan. Standing proud in Piazza del Duomo, this cathedral is more than 600 years old and is the fifth largest Christian church in the world. There is a sundial in the entrance of the church. The sundial is surprisingly precise, you can set your watch. It was even used to regulate clocks throughout the city.
It took thousands of workers, a new canal system and over six centuries to complete and it’s still unfinished.
Other attractions in Milan
Sforzesco Castle (Sforza Castle) was built as a fortress during the fourteenth century and is one of the most famous landmarks in Milan. It was the largest citadel in Europe between the 16th and 17th centuries.
This Castle has beautiful architecture and gardens and Leonardo da Vinci designed the interior of the Castle and he lived here for almost a good 16 years.
The Cimitero Monumentale
This is one of the largest cemetery in Italy and it is spread across 62 acres of land. Why someone will visit a cemetery when came for a vacation. But this cemetery is worth seeing since it is built in Italic artistic style and depict how Italian honoured their departed ones.
