BALI

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. Bali is the main tourist destination in Indonesia. The island is home to religious sites such as Uluwatu Temple which is on the cliffside. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa Dua are popular resort towns. The island is also known for its yoga and meditation retreats.

Also known as the Land of the Gods, Bali appeals through its sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields that exude peace and serenity. It is also famous for surfers’ paradise.

Balinese society is based on Hinduism. Even today in Uluwatu Temple, there is a Ramayan Show happens every evening at the sun set, where stage actors play a specific Ramayan episode.

Bali generally has prestine bone white sand beaches. But surprisingly Bali also has black sand volcanic beaches and its due to the active volcanoes.

Bali offers the most expensive coffee in the world, Kopi Luwak, made from civet droppings. Does it sound like a joke; nope, it’s true and here it is how: Kopi Luwak is the name of the beans collected from the excrement of civet (a small nocturnal mammal found in Bali) The ability of civet to select it’s berries, and other aspect of the diet and health influence the processing and hence the taste of the coffee. The coffee can be as expensive as 50$ a cup and tourist are quite fancy to taste this legendary coffee.

Bali is completely depending upon the tourism. It has become one of the famous tourist destination in the world.

Bali is indeed an amazing place to visit. Incidentally for me it was a business trip and had a very less of a personal time. Given a chance, would like to visit Bali again in future.
