Dubai is over 300 years old and started as a small fishing village. Dubai today is one of the most visited city in the world having iconic attractions like second most five star hotels in the world and the tallest man made building structure “Burj Khalifa” which is around 900 meters tall. Few facts about Dubai:

One of the most interesting facts about Dubai is that it has a habit of being the first one to do everything and the Dubai Mall is a fine example. With over 1200 stores, over 120 cafes and restaurants, and 26 cinema screens, the Dubai Mall is one of the largest malls in the world.

The Dubai Aquarium Tank is the largest suspended aquarium in the world with a capacity of 10 million litres. It has a vast collection of more than 33,000 aquatic animals from over 200 species. With over 300 sharks and rays, including one of the largest collections of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world, Dubai Aquarium Tank is another fun place for tourists.

Dubai owns a largest man made island, it has a largest airport terminal in the world and most interesting; people here owns gold plated cars, the luxurious cars like Lamborghini and Ferrari.

Dubai is also known as a crane capital of the world having around 25% of the cranes in the world due to ongoing constructions.


Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is the iconic tallest free standing structure in the world and is the major attraction in Dubai. The height is a staggering 828 meters (2716.5 feet) tall, soaring over Dubai. It’s three times as tall as the Eiffel Tower and nearly twice as tall as the Empire State Building. It’s cloud-piercing height is certainly one of the most impressive facts about Burj Khalifa.

It has highest number of storied (163 storied), highest occupied floor, highest outdoor observation deck, elevator with the longest and the fastest travel distance in the world.

The sound and light show at Burj Khalifa is just mesmerising. The building is well lit up with beautiful pattern of exotic flowers and the entire view is quite magnificent.

One of the interesting fact about Burj Khalifa, the tip of the building is seeing from upto 95 kms away.

The observation deck is on 124th floor and takes exactly 60 seconds to reach to the deck and the view from there is astonishingly beautiful.


The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is the world’s tallest fountain spread over 900 ft in length – equivalent to over two football pitches – The Dubai Fountain is situated on the 30-acre Burj Lake and performs to a selection of different melodies.

It has 6,600 powerful lights and the fountain has the ability to shoot water up to 500 feet — as high as a 50-storey building.


The View at the Palm

A 11 kms crescent on top of it, the Palm Island is an iconic attraction of Dubai in a Palm Tree shape. It is artificially created island and one of the most interesting facts is that no steel or concrete was used during the creation of the island. The unique structure of Palm Jumeirah comprises a whopping 120 million cubic metres of sand, that was brought from the seabed into construction.

A private satellite and GPS were used while pouring sand into the sea as the shape of island is nearly curved everywhere and it required pin point accuracy to shape it. The satellite gave coordinates of the point where sand was to be put.
